Manchester-based songwriter and producer IORA (real name Holly Phelps) makes futuristic blend of alt-pop with layers of electronica, field recording and punchy samples.
Her EP “How did we get here?” (supported by the PRS Open Fund) was released in May as well as a UK headline tour. As well as receiving financial support from PRS, she’s also a Roundhouse Resident artist Alumni. She’s picked up support on BBC Radio 1 from Gemma Bradley and The Chillest Show with Sian Eleri as well as regular support from BBC Introducing. Holly has also sung in award winning short film ‘Time Bascule’, other work includes theatre, podcasts, radio, top lining and facilitation.
