Course overview

When: The event will take place Tuesday 12th of April at 6pm UK, with the livestream starting at 6:30pm UK. 

Where: The Rattle, London, with limited places available. Registrations (Buy Now or Add to Cart) are ONLY for people who want to attend in person. For those who can’t make it to the event IRL, it will be livestreamed on the Music Hackspace YouTube channel (add to your calendar below).

Thea Cochrane will be using her prolific background in sound design for drama to lead Session 9 of the We Move series to explore with us the various ways that sound design techniques can offer innovative new approaches to music production.

The Rattle HQ is situated in the lower level of Tobacco Dock - Tobacco Dock is located in the heart of East London’s thriving enterprise zone, within striking distance of Central London and straightforward to reach by public transport, lying between Wapping (Overground) and Shadwell (Overground and DLR) stations, as well as plenty of nearby bus stops (routes 100 and D3).

  • Thea Cochrane

Thea Cochrane is a composer, music producer, audio editor in addition to being a preservation engineer for the British Library’s Sound Heritage department. Thea started out training at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studios and has gone on to a fascinating and varied career in sound design - notably working for the Dr Who radio franchise as a sound designer and composer for many of their episodes across the Torchwood, Bernice Summerfield and Companion Chronicles series.
