Note: The event will take place Tuesday 1st March at 6:30pm UK at L-Acoustics Creations sound space in Highgate, with limited places available. Registrations (Buy Now or Add to Cart) are ONLY for people who want to attend in person. For those who can’t make it to the event IRL, it will be livestreamed on the MusicHackspace YouTube channel.
What does it take to create an immersive AV experience?
In a very special session in partnership with L-Acoustics, composer/ producer Halina Rice leads us through the techniques and technology she employed while building and delivering her NEW WORLDS immersive show, which premiered at the Copeland Gallery, London in December 2021.
This event is for live performers / creators working with performers interested in taking first steps into building immersive shows.

About L-Acoustics Creations:
The event will take place in L-Acoustics Creations sound space in Highgate. L-Acoustics Creations is devoted to architectural applications of L-Acoustics, the leader in premium sound systems and immersive technologies for live events and music venues. The location is equipped with a 360° ultra-high resolution sound system in 18.1.12 to fully immerse listeners in a 3D audio experience.

Halina Rice
Halina Rice is an electronic music producer and AV artist renowned for her vivid and eclectic style ranging from downtempo soundscapes to beat-driven IDM. Working at the intersection of art, music and tech - her NEW WORLDS project unites music with mixed reality visuals and 360 sound to create emotive experiences both live and virtual. Supported by the Arts Council she has created a fully staged immersive show which has been described as “part rave, part art happening”. With previous releases on Point Blank and Blurred Recordings, her work has drawn commendations from publications such as Clash, Bonafide and Magnetic Magazine as well as radio play on Soho Radio, Threads and Séance. Halina has also carried out music tech workshops in the past for Ableton and Native Instruments.
