In this session: Laura Lee deconstructs her own approach to the electric guitar with her expansion of sounds using guitar pedal effects and Ableton Live. Laura reflects on her own practice and how she has developed new styles of playing and sound design using the guitar, through the blurring of studio and stage techniques.

Through historical and cultural context, Laura discusses her approach as a post-rock guitarist and her techniques of blending genres within her playing. She explores the theoretical feedback loop of production values, the studio environment and live performance.

Producing and responding between studio and stage environment, Sound designer approach to your guitar, Pedalboard deconstruction with loop pedals, Integrating Ableton Live into your guitar live-set up.

The event will also be livestreamed on the Music hackspace YouTube channel for those who can’t make it IRL
