This workshop will teach you how to use vocal production in your own recording process, from pre-production to mix prep. We will start by listening to a demo of a song that has no backing vocals or effects, and look at how to start creating vocal arrangements. During this process, you will be shown how to capture clean vocals, learn about vocal chains, and how to set up your DAW for a recording session. The final element of the course will be looking at the full, mixed track alongside all vocal effects and harmonies, showcasing a track ‘before’ and ‘after’ vocal production. This workshop is perfect for intermediate to advanced self-producing artists who want to delve into the art of vocal production to take their songs to the next level.
The event will also be livestreamed on the Music hackspace YouTube channel for those who can’t make it IRL
