What to expect?
The meetup runs via Zoom, the main session will be 2-hours in length with an additional hour open to the community for collaboration and sharing in breakout rooms.
Arthur Sauer a composer, performer, sound designer and live animation artist based in Rotterdam. He toured the whole planet and won several prizes. He is interested in recording, spatial reproduction, thinking about new concepts, programming, internet of things, performing in theaters and on location, location based art, making movies, etc. Everything starts with thinking about concepts and then finding the best ways to realize the idea. So, in a way you could call me a conceptual artist. How this all fits together: watch the Max Meetup.
Matteo Marson is a composer, multimedia artist, and programmer based in Turin (Italy). He works as a consultant for the software house Cycling '74, where he develops the Jitter visual programming product. He's a Member of the artistic collective SPIME.IM and has participated in numerous international electronic music festivals (like Ars Electronica, L.E.V., Club to Club, and Nextones). In addition, he works as a music composer for TV commercials (IKEA, Yamaha, Chanel, Sir Winston Tea, Poltronesofà, among others).He is also a "multimedia programming for audiovisual arts" teacher at the New Academy of Fine Arts (Milan).
Tarik Barri is an audiovisual musician and software developer. He programmes his own software to develop new tools for audiovisual performance and composition. Using these tools, Barri explores new synergies and aesthetics in combinations of image and sound. His work takes on various forms like installations, videos and AV performances where he frequently collaborates with artists like Thom Yorke, Paul Jebanasam, Sote and Robert Henke.
