Join us for an engaging workshop! Dive into the world of sound exploration as we investigate the capabilities of Strudel combined with MIDI instruments. This hands-on session will feature practical examples that blend sounds from web browsers with synthesizers, offering a dynamic approach to music creation. Whether you're a musician, a coder, or simply curious about new ways to produce sound, this workshop will expand your creative boundaries.

 

This workshop will be divided into four 30-minute sections. 1st / 30-minute demonstration of a simpler live coding idea 2nd / 30-minute demonstration of a more advanced coding idea 3rd / A live 30-minute performance from the artist 4th / A 30-minute Q&A where you can ask the artist any question on your mind The artist arrives 30 minutes before the class begins to help with any technical questions about setting up. Although Strudel runs in the browser and requires no formal installation it is recommended that you test the software before the class. To allow the workshop to flow classes will not be stopped for technical issues, so please use this time if you have any technical questions.

Meet your instructor

Lina Bautista is a musician, artist, educator and developer who combines modular synthesizers, DIY electronics and computers to make music and foster new audiences in sound technologies. She studied music composition in Bogotá, Colombia. Since 2010 she lives and works in Barcelona, where she finished her studies in composition and new technologies, Interactive Music Systems Design and Sound Art. With his musical project Linalab, he has produced several albums and has performed on many stages around the world. She is part of collectives live Toplap Barcelona and axolot.cat and she teaches at institutions such as the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and the Master's Degree in Sound Art at the University of Barcelona, among others
