This workshop introduces design fundamentals for user interfaces using modern Javascript with the v8UI object in Max 9. We will go over Javascript concepts required to create an interactive UI object in Max along with the basics of colour theory and interaction design concepts, such as visual hierarchy, in order to create interfaces that communicate and appeal to the audience.

Estevan Carlos Benson is a California-based artist/professor at the University of Southern California and Art Center College of Design. He has composed for independent films, created musical tools, taught interaction design, and developed web technologies. You'll find him often giving workshops at various institutions on sound and ethnomusicology. You'll find him online with his projects, WVFRM.com and XILITLA.
