SUMMARY:Make music with code with Joanne Armitage\, part 2: Time\, structures and pattern
DESCRIPTION:[shopify embed_type=”product” shop=”musichackspace.myshopify.com” product_handle=”make-music-with-code-with-joanne-armitage-part-2-time-structures-and-pattern” show=”button-only”] \nThroughout May\, June and July we have Joanne Armitage leading a series of three SuperCollider workshops. These workshops can loosely be thought of as beginner\, intermediate and advanced workshops\, and can be attended individually or as a complete series. \nWorkshop 1: Synthesis Techniques (May 30th) \nWorkshop 2: Time\, structures and pattern (June 19th) \nWorkshop 3: Interaction and Data (July 11th) \nIndividual workshops cost £30. You can also book a place on all three workshops at a discounted rate of £75 here. \nThis second workshop will focus on time\, structures and pattern in Supercollider. It’s recommended that you have a basic familiarity with with SuperCollider for this workshop. Attending the first workshop in the series would be adequate for this.  \nFull workshop details coming soon.  \nSuperCollider is a powerful\, open-source\, cross-platform\, audio engine and programming language\, used not only to create music\, but also for machine learning\, audio/music reactive installations\, performance\, interactive systems\, research\, live-coding and much more. \nRequirements: You will need your own computer (OSX / Windows/ Linux)\, and a pair of headphones.  \nJoanne is a creative technologist and artist working with sound\, physical computing\, digital media and interaction design. Her current practice-based research explores how digital sound can connect with the body through haptic feedback. She is part of livecoding duo Algobabez with Shelly Knotts. \nWe can offer a student discount of 10% off this workshop.
