SUMMARY:Mobile Audio Hackers meet-up
DESCRIPTION:The Mobile Audio Hackers night meets periodically to share knowledge\, tips and tricks about coding audio on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) of all persuasions. Potential topics include real-time synthesis\, streaming audio\, multipeer connectivity\, Pd integration\, and third party frameworks\, with possible applications in live improv\, arts projects\, and game development\, etc.\n\n \n\nIn our next meeting\, Martin Roth from Enzien Audio (and formerly from RjDj) will discuss Enzien’s project\, Heavy. They explain it in this way: ‘Heavy is a Pure Data-to-C compiler. If you provide a Pd patch\, Enzien will send you an optimised vanilla-C library that can be used in embedded hardware\, mobile\, desktop\, console\, and the web. It is meant mainly for advanced users for whom running libpd in their app is out of the question (perhaps for integration or performance reasons). These users probably have a lot of signal processing code that needs to be run quickly. They want to retain the flexibility of designing and changing the software in Pd\, but want the speed of native code.’\n\n\nenzienaudio.com\n\n\nEntrance is free\n  \n\n
