SUMMARY:Drake Music Hackathon at Web Web Want festival- Southbank Centre
DESCRIPTION:Drake Music\, Music Hackspace and Furthefield are partnering to host an Accessible Music Hackathon at the Southbank Centre as part of the Web We Want festival. \nTechnologists and coders are invited to come together to work on new accessible music technology projects and showcase innovative music technology made to make music accessible for disabled musicians. \nChallenges include Imogen Heap’s Mi.Mu Gloves lead by Kris Halpin and John Kelly’s new accessible Guitboard guitar. \nSelected projects will be presented on Sunday 31 May as part of the Web We Want Day Pass talks programme. \nTo welcome participants\, introduce challenges and form groups\, there will be a pre-hackathon meet-up at Drake Music as part of their regular Accessible Music Technology Hackmeets on Wednesday 27th May. All participants will be reminded and given more details about the pre-hackday meet up. \nRegistered participants are allowed to bring existing projects and propose new challenges.
