Jean-Baptiste (JB) is the founder and CEO of Music Hackspace. He studied composition and computer science, and holds a PhD from the Center for Digital Music, Queen Mary, London. He worked in R&D and product roles at Focusrite, ROLI and Cycling ’74, and was the director of JUCE and the Audio Developer Conference from 2014 to 2019. While at ROLI, he spearheaded the effort that led to establishing MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE), and he serves on the Executive Board of the MIDI Association as its Secretary.

JB plays guitar, bass and piano, and teaches Max, Signal Processing, and Coding.
