Cycling 74’s Max / MSP’s Gen~ offers a vast playground of audio processing opportunities to create your own audio devices. In this workshop you will build your own modulation delay line that utilizes Gen for signal processing. This workshop aims to provide you with suitable skills to begin exploring modulation delay line devices in the Gen~. Gen provides highly optimised audio processes that matches C++ and is the ideal technology for improving complex Max patches and free CPU.
What you'll learn
Utilise the Gen~ Delay operator to make a circular buffer
Building comb filters via FIR & IIR techniques
Execute modulation sources
Develop custom audio effects such as flanging and chorusing
Requirements
A computer and internet connection
Access to a copy of Max 8 (i.e. trial or full license)
