Making Visual Music with Videosync

Membership plan: Going Deeper | Topics: Visual Arts

Course overview

Tarik Barri is the co-founder of Videosync - a powerful piece of software that makes accessible and intuitive audio-visual techniques that were once part of a technical domain reserved for programmers. In this rare workshop, he describes how to create visuals using this cutting-edge software, while providing practical demonstrations of its many possibilities. He shows how Videosync seamlessly integrates incredible visuals into Ableton Live, allowing you to craft, manipulate, warp and improvise with videos, live streams, and generative visuals - all of this within Ableton's musical timeline. Tarik shows how stunning visuals can be perfectly synchronized with sound, work completely independently, or blend both approaches. Using the familiar elements of Ableton - MIDI, automation, routing, etc - you will see how, if you are a musician, you can add visual elements to your compositions, or, if you are a visual artist, how to collaborate closely with musicians.
