Topics included: how to choose references, give feedback, and help your engineer understand how you want your music to sound — as well as basic mix principles to keep in mind, and practical elements such as preparing your audio for mixing.

Jess Camilleri is a London-based recording and mixing engineer. While working as a runner and assistant at the infamous Strongroom Studios, she honed her recording skills and discovered her love for working with independent and developing artists. She is currently freelance, dividing her time between running recording sessions for established clients (M.I.A, New Hope Club, Rudimental) and recording, mixing and producing for up-and-coming artists (All Day Breakfast Cafe, Dat Brass, Jelly Cleaver).
