Instructor

Dr Isobel Anderson is a UK based musician, sound artist and academic with a PhD in Sonic Arts from The Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC), Queen’s University, Belfast where she specialised in field recording, studio composition and experimental performance. Alongside this, her self-produced, self-released albums have amassed over 25 million Spotify streams, and have been broadcast on BBC Radio 2, 3,4 and BBC 6 Music. Anderson is also the founder of The Female DIY Musician, an online resource supporting female identifying musicians to record and release their music from home. This includes the critically acclaimed, Lovie Award shortlisted feminist music tech podcast, Girls Twiddling Knobs, an online community of over 1.3K members and an online course designed specifically for female musicians with over 300 alumni to date, Home Recording Academy.
